Can you imagine enduring years of physical, sexual or emotional abuse before you’re in grade school – or well into high school – before you’re taken from your parents to become a ward of the state? These are the children of DePelchin.
Not as “adoptable” as infants, some have physical and mental handicaps. Some need counseling for emotional issues. Many come with siblings. They need love, help, and above all, the consistency of a forever family.
This piece was designed to help DePelchin recruit forever families. Using case studies of former DePelchin children, the brochure also describes how the organization stays involved, providing counseling, support, and therapy. Supplemented with FAQs, statistics and diagrams, the engaging narratives were supported with warm visuals, including beautiful photography of the children, to project a positive, hopeful tone.
The brochure is given to prospective families at DePelchin’s monthly meetings.
